Hastings
« on: Oct16-2010, 07:31:05 »
I went to my local Hastings (Like Barnes and Noble or Borders) today, looking for The Black Company. I found all of the books compiled into four anthologies. Spent 90 bucks (my wife bought some books too) but I've just started to read the first book. Can't take my eyes off the page.

If you don't have the books, seriously check around and get them ASAP. Great reading.

Props to the both of youse for taking the initiative to read the books, they're obviously a cornerstone of this organization. Once you finish them though, will you truly understand the scope of their importance!

Personal favorite is Silver Spike, if not for the different perspective and time/place.

I liked both the Silver Spike and Shadows Linger because in both spineless men who are pitiful become forces to be reckoned with! interesting character development to say the least!...Kinda wish I  had learned more about old man fish :/

Yeah I think the antho's put the silver spike as book 6... I'd suggest reading it 4th though. It takes place in the North and just seems right as book 4.

Book 4, no questions.    Why a publisher would stick it as Book 6 baffling.

Started book one yesterday. I'm on chapter 2. Story is moving at light speed so far. Does it ever slow down?
