I am impressed ...

Wonder how long it will stay up .. being yet another spider network of shared MP3s (Limewire-ish)

Haven't looked at it yet (it couldn't be found by Firefox)

But it sounds like www.pandora.com which is 10000000 better then anything out there and I love it.

first posted this a while back.    It isn't Pandora exactly, where it creates radio stations based on similar music.     Grooveshark plays any song you can think of, apparently, from the insane popular to the unbelievably obscure.

If you dig music, this is a Must Have.

I tend to use www.projectplaylist.com more than anything.  Type in the band or name of the sang and bam, there it is.  No illegal downloading or anything.

I use pandora.. I have to say that while it is awesome and all, it gets VERY repetitive if you listen to it as much as me. I will definitely be checking out this grooveshark deal. It would be nice to listen to Exactly what I'm in the mood for instead of something "close."

My biggest pet peeve with pandora is the station variety program only works one way. For example and where it irks me the most, I have a blues station. I put in every blues artist I could remember (mainly what people consider "the forefathers" of the blues) to create the station. Now if you know blues you know that a good number of the artist also have some gospel albums or song sprinkled throughout their career. So pandora then tags any artist with any gospel song with a "gospel" label.. then you thumbs up enough artist that get that tag from 3 songs or one album and all of a sudden Bishop Joe Jackson is blasting your ear off about "Jesus Shower your light on my poor self."

Now when I thumbs down every single gospel song that comes on my blues station it doesn't say.. hey he doesn't like gospel and remove the tag from the station.. So I guess I will have to thumbs down every single gospel song pandora has in its library before it stops.

Worst part: I'm not a hard core hater of gospel. I just don't wanna listen to gospel on my blues station.. but when I thumbs down a gospel song, I thumbs down the song for every station. If you can't tell I'm really kind of over pandora lol.. sorry for the rant.

Seconded.  I've taken to just throwing on Slacker Radio lately for that reason.

UNTO ASHES: unrepentant purveyors of apocalyptic folk, medieval doom and gloom, dirges and drones

That's some pretty freaky depressing shit there, Waam.        I'm quite sure you are well aware of that.    This kind of stuff has always struck me as weird for weird's sake.     I recognize the talent, can't say I'm much for the work as a whole...much like Primus.

Enjoy to the fullest :)
