Mocker, true love is the greatest thing in the world... except for a nice MLT: mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe.

Mocker I had that exact same experience same movie, same scenario.

Same thing with Blade Runner.

American History X

Meaningful story, artistically challenging, great message. What more could you seek from a film? A strong narrative about tolerance, respect and friendship.

No particular order ---

Pulp Fiction
Usual Suspects (can't believe nobody mentioned this one!)
Reservoir Dogs
Dr. Strangelove (okay maybe this one's too old)
Fargo
Inglorious Bastards

Zombieland (The first rule of Zombieland:  Cardio.  When the zombie outbreak first hit, the first to go, for obvious reasons, were the fatties)   :runfaster:

And I'm sure Virgil meant to add Crying Game to his list.  Seems like a guy who would appreciate surprises.

Gresh, your list is pretty much like mine. There's not a movie you mentioned that I don't have as part of my wonderous collection.

Another good one: Children of Men.

Patton

How the hell could I have forgotten "Patton".   Definitely needs to be in The List.

Super Troopers -- shower scene with boobs was a nice surprise.  Think I watched that 5 times.

I think you're getting "The only good bug is a dead bug." mixed up with "The snozzberries taste like snozzberries."

Schindler's List. I was too young (and thus too horrified) when I first watched it. Milestone movie.
