Well, that's MY favorite...

So, here's another...

"Wo ist viel Licht, sind stärker Schatten" ("Where there is much light, there are darker shadows") ~ Goethe

"Omnia mea, mecum porto" ("All that is mine, I take with me.") ~ Horace

"Caedite eos!" "KILL THEM ALL"

My favourite, and perhaps most misunderstood, quote by Yamamoto Tsunemoto as written in what I think to be the most clearly written book on thr ideals of the Samurai:

The Way of the Samurai is found in death. When it comes to either/or, there is only the quick choice of death. It is not particularly difficult. Be determined and advance. To say that dying without reaching one's aim is to die a dog's death is the frivolous way of sophisticates. When pressed with the choice of life or death, it is not necessary to gain one's aim.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.

"The cannon thunders... limbs fly in all directions... one can hear the groans of victims and the howling of those performing the sacrifice... it's Humanity in search of happiness."
